Fred Howard, M.D., is board certified in general surgery and is known among his patients as jovial and approachable. He attended the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he also completed his residency. A former pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, Dr. Howard practiced in Winter Haven before joining Heart of Florida Physician Group. Dr. Howard provides care for wound care patients and general surgery patients in the greater Lake Wales area. He treats patients with non-healing wounds in an outpatient setting at the Wound Care Center for Lake Wales Medical Center.
