After completing college, Dr. Montgomery completed four years of dental school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.  She graduated magna cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and was selected as a member of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.  Following dental school, Dr. Montgomery received her certificate in advanced general dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Montgomery then completed a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and obtained a master's of science degree in dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.  Dr. Montgomery and her husband established SmartSmile Orthodontics in 2009 to serve the orthodontic needs in Madison, Mississippi and the surrounding communities. Dr. Montgomery’s husband, Chad, is the business manager for SmartSmile Orthodontics, and they have a daughter and son, Mary Alex and Gates.
