Brief Intro

Dr. Eric Ericson is a Rockford native and a founding partner of Brightbill/Ericson Eye Associates New Vision Laser Center. He was born and raised locally and graduated from Rockford West High School. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist providing glaucoma care and cataract surgery with more than 30 years of eye health care experience in Rockford. Dr. Ericson received his bachelors degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his internship at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. After completing his training, Dr. Ericson joined Dr. T. William Cook in private practice at the Rockton Avenue Eye Clinic, providing comprehensive ophthalmology services for 20 years. In 1996 he joined the Rockford Clinic, and in 2002 he partnered with Dr. Brightbill to form Brightbill/Ericson Eye Associates. Dr. Ericson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. As a Rockford native, Dr. Ericson has found particular pleasure in having the opportunity to develop long-lasting relationships with his patients, sometimes bridging several generations.
