Dr. Lo Menzo is a general surgeon with expertise and extensive experience in weight loss, minimally invasive and hernia surgery. Before coming to the Cleveland Clinic Florida, Dr. Lo Menzo was an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, and previously an Assistant Professor of laparoendoscopic & bariatric surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. While there, he specialized in laparoscopic and open hernias, as well as laparoscopic surgery for morbid obesity, esophageal reflux, esophageal motility surgery and endoscopy. He received his medical degree from the University of Catania in Italy and completed his surgical residency at Thomas Jefferson University and the The Lankenau Hospital, part of Jefferson Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a clinical fellowship in advanced laparoscopy, endoscopy and bariatric surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. He is board-certified in general surgery.
