Brief Intro

My practice currently focuses on helping patients transition through difficult periods in their lives. I use medication to help quiet their emotional turmoil and sometimes destructive and harmful thought processes and problem-focused psychotherapy to help them learn healthier patterns of thinking. I have had a difficult past several years during which I made a number of poor personal choices and experienced what used to be called a "mid-life crisis", and this resulted in my own experience of what it is like to experience emotional pain and to struggle through the difficult process of growing and becoming more understanding and compassionate instead of collapsing into self-flagellation and hopelessness. Many of us make regrettable choices and we can either make a living amends by learning from our mistakes and moving towards becoming our better selves, or we can abandon hope and be of no use to anyone. I hope you choose to always keep moving towards your better selves. We all make mistakes. We all have done bad things. But a good person is one who takes responsibility and tries to not make the same mistake again and again. I hope you find your way. :
