Dr. Vial is a lifelong resident of the Bay Area. He serves as the cardiothoracic surgeon for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and is partnered with Pacific Coast Cardiac & Vascular Surgeons. He performs both cardiac and non-cardiac thoracic surgery. He received his bachelors degree and medical doctorate from Stanford University. In addition, Dr. Vial earned a masters of philosophy at Cambridge University in England, completing a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiac transplant immunology. He received his general surgical and cardiothoracic surgical training at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Vial is particularly interested in cardiac valvular disease and minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgery. He is fluent in Italian and Spanish.
