Christopher Shields, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. He completed his internship at St. Michael's Hospital at the University of Toronto and his residency at University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. Dr. Shields completed a fellowship in microvascular neurosurgery at the University of Vermont in Burlington.
