Dr. Silk is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate pre-med curriculum degree and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Silk served his internship from 1967-68 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. From there he went to Cleveland where he served two years with the U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Coast Guard. From 1970-74 he completed his ENT residency at Indiana University. In 1974 he moved to Louisville to begin practice at Cohen & Silk, P.S.C. Dr. Silk is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been president and chairperson of various hospital committees as well as local and state medical organizations. He is married with two sons and a daughter. His professional practice interests include general ENT, rhinology and sinus disease, and head and neck oncologic surgery. His personal interests include family activities, travel, golf, music and the outdoors.
