Dr. Bourgeous, M.D., grew up in Dubuque. He attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate degree, which was a B.S. with Distinction and Honors. His major was Biologic Sciences. He also attended the University of Iowa for medical school and was awarded his M.D. in 1998. He completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the University of Illinois. After residency training he joined Ottumwa Obstetrics and Gynecology, PC. as a partner, and practiced for 8 years before joining our practice in July 2010. Dr. Bourgeous’ professional interests include minimally invasive surgery with and without the aid of the DaVinci robotic system; evaluation and treatment of premalignant diseases of the female genital tract; and evaluation and treatment of female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and endometriosis. Dr. Bourgeous also enjoys delivering babies, he is accepting new obstetrical patients as well as new gynecologic patients. Dr. Bourgeous and Lisa have been married since 1995 and have 4 children.
