Dr. Badar Zaheer, MD is a senior clinical lecturer in the Departments of Family Medicine at Chicago Medical School and Resurrection University. He is a board-certified family physician and board-eligible emergency medicine physician who practices at two locations in the Chicago-land area, in addition to working as a staff physician at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Zaheer has been practicing emergency medicine for the past 18 years and enjoys teaching Advance Trauma Life Support to emergency medicine physicians and a member of American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). He is a consultant for the Arizona Medical Board and serves as the medical director for emergency rooms, as a contracted MD for Emcare. Apart from this, he has also served as a Speed Track Physician for Chicago-land Speedway and other NASCAR events. Dr. Zaheer is a Designated Civil Surgeon for US Citizenship and Immigration Services and is also a board member for the Compassionate Care Network. In addition, he has given numerous continuing medical education presentations on management of acute trauma and emergencies across the nation, as well as internationally. He was most recently involved in the 2012 Pan-Pacific Emergency Medicine Congress in Seoul Korea. In 1995, he was a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Research granted by the American Academy of Family Physician. Dr. Badar Zaheer is the author of 101 Case Studies in Emergency Room which is currently under publication.
