Doctor Ashraf El-Shalakany is a Harvard trained Interventionist Electrophysiologist Cardiologist, highly recognized in the southeast Florida Area.
He earned his medical degree at the University Ain-Shams in Egypt (1974-1980) and successfully completed his cardiac medicine residency at the national Heart Institute in Cairo Egypt (1981-1983).
In 1986 he completed his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship and 1987 completed at the Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Medical Center.
He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from 1990-1993 at the University of Texas.
His fellowship of Cardiology was completed from 1993-1995 at the Beth Israel Hospital/ Harvard Medical School, his fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology from 1995-1996 at the Beth Israel/ Harvard Medical School, his Senior Cardiology Fellowship at the Beth Israel Hospital/ Harvard medical School and his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the Iowa Heart Institute in 1997.
Doctor Ashraf El-Shalakany is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine.
Ashraf is a proud member of the American College of Cardiology, the Massachusetts Medical Association, Egyptian Society of Cardiology, The Heart Rhym Society, The Egyptian Board of Pacing & Electrophysiology and The Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.
