Dr. Torrance attended undergraduate and medical school at Mercer University. Prior to his Sports Medicine Fellowship, he served 9 years in forward deployed units in the US Army. He has served as team physician for American University, the Augusta Riverhawks professional ice hockey team, and multiple high school teams. He has provided medical coverage for multiple local, state, regional, national and international sports competitions; to include, multiple State, Regional and National Boxing Tournaments, the World Golden Gloves Boxing Championships, the US Armed Forces Wrestling Championship, and USA National Taekwondo championship. His special interests include regenerative medicine, and minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided procedures for chronic, recalcitrant tendinopathies, and non-operative arthropathies. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, working out, reading; and whenever possible enjoying his 'sport of passion' as an adult: alpine skiing.
