Born Indianapolis ,Indiana, College- Tulane University-BS graduated 1975- Phi Beta Kappa, Indiana University Medical School graduated 1979, St Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center - internship and residency graduated 1983, he is board certified, practiced OBGYN in Indianapolis, Indiana 1983-1991, and was on the teaching staff at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, In. from 1983-1991, now in private practice with offices in Coral Springs and Boca Raton, Florida 1991-present. Dr Patterson is now certified to prescribe the new medication ADDYI, the first FDA approved medication to treat premenopausal women with acquired generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSSD) as characterized by low sexual desire that causes marked distress or interpersonal difficulty. He does high and low risk obstetrics, office gynecology,in office gynecology surgery, in and outpatient gynecology surgery and treats all aspects of gynecology care. He is on most insurance plans, including United, Cigna, Aetna, BC-BS, Coventry, Humana , AV Med, GHI, Medicare, most PPOs and HMOs and POS plans, and accepts self-pay , please call for plan coverage. He is in private practice so the patient will always see only him for all appointments, also have same day appointments if necessary and late evening appointments. He does all of his own deliveries and pregnant patients only see him and no other doctor. He does hospital and office surgery, including in office hysteroscopy, Essure tubal, endometrial ablations, Leep, colposcopy with cervical biopsy,endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, cryosurgery. Also bone density testing and treatment of osteoporosis and osteopenia. Confidential STD testing, birth control, diagnosis and treatment of bleeding problems, vaginitis, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, fibroids and treatment of menopausal problems.
