I earned my medical degree from the Zagazig University in Egypt. I also completed my orthopedic surgery residency at the Zagazig University Hospitals Egypt. In addition, I completed several fellowship programs: Advanced Reconstructive spinal surgery at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, and Adult Scoliosis and Trauma fellowships at the Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, Oregon. AO trauma fellowship in Switzerland and 2years research fellowship at Johns Hopkins. My main areas of clinical expertise include spine deformities and scoliosis, degenerative spine disorders, Spine infection, spine tumors and disc arthroplasty. I am a member of many prestigious societies including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons â€œAAOSâ€, and Scoliosis Research Society â€œSRSâ€. Further, I have presented my research at society meetings, published in leading peer-reviewed publications, and have contributed to textbook chapters and educational programs in different media.
