Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: Working in healthcare always appealed to me. I knew that nursing would give me the opportunity to impact peoples' lives. It's an honor to help people when they most need it.What I want my patients to know about me:Patients should feel comfortable asking questions and you should expect answers that you can understand. You're in charge and I work for you.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:In addition to practicing at medicine, I also teach at Penn State. My wife and I have four kids and we enjoy our regular trips to the Outer Banks and Maine. The rest of our time is usually spent schlepping kids to football or lacrosse events.
