Mitchell Donner, MD, is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist who is passionate about helping patients with chronic pain. Since 2017, he has helped patients suffering from a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal pain of the back, neck, and joints at Pain Care, LLC, which has five locations in Stockbridge, Griffin, Newnan, McDonough, Johns Creek and Fayetteville, Georgia.
A Georgia native, Dr. Donner received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, before pursuing his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He then returned to Atlanta to complete an internship after graduation at Emory University.
Dr. Donner went on to complete his formal medical training at two of the nation’s top hospitals. He completed an anesthesiology residency at the prestigious Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Donner realized his passion for pain care and ultimately finished a pain management fellowship in Los Angeles, California, at UCLA Medical Center.
As an experienced anesthesiologist and pain management specialist, Dr. Donner continues to investigate new methods to improve the treatment of chronic pain. He has participated in research engagements at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
To deliver comprehensive pain care to his patients, Dr. Donner utilizes multimodal, interventional, and multidisciplinary therapies, such as spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and radiofrequency ablation for chronic pain conditions like back pain, neck pain, peripheral neuropathy, and complex regional pain syndrome.
