Mary Acosta, WHNP-BC, provides ambulatory health services at Pierremont Women’s Clinic. She focuses on health promotion and maintenance for women from puberty through the adult life span. She provides both common and complex gynecologic, sexual, reproductive, menopause-transition and postmenopausal healthcare.
Acosta earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Northwestern State University of Louisiana College of Nursing. Acosta worked as a labor and delivery nurse for eight years while pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and training as a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP). She is board certified (National Certification Corporation) and a member of both the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
Married and mother of two children, Acosta and husband Jonathan spend most of their time traveling to watch their two children in competitive soccer.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling for pleasure.
