Certified Physician Assistant James McMullen strives to build strong long-term relationships with his clients and encourage them to take an active role in their health care. He knows the importance of being a good listener and communicator as he partners with people on their health journey. James was on the road to becoming a teacher, but when an illness landed him in the hospital, he became fascinated with healthcare and the people who are a part of it. Now 30 years later, he is still serving adults in general and internal medicine as a physician assistant. James constantly reads medical books and articles and spends a significant amount of time on continuing medical education to stay up to date with the rapidly changing healthcare landscape. He works on his personal health goals with consistent and frequent high-intensity interval training and strength training. He also enjoys traveling with his family and makes time to play guitar daily, knowing music adds to his overall quality of life.
