Dr. Ziad Amr is a highly skilled, fellowship trained General and Bariatric surgeon in the Houston and Cypress area. Through completing his general surgery residency training from 2002 through 2007 at the Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, Dr. Amr gained extensive experience in general surgery procedures. Dr. Amr is trained in laparoscopic foregut surgery and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. His surgical interests include laparoscopic surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, treatment of inguinal and incisional hernias, and gallbladder disease. He also preforms single incision Robotic surgery.
Dr. Amr is certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of The American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), The Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and The American College of Surgeons (FACS)
