Helping to make a difference in the lives of patients is what drives Yusuf A. Mosuro, M.D., MBA in his work at the National Spine and Pain Centers. Dr. Mosuro brings more than three decades of experience with him to the practice. He began his medical career at the College of Education in Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria taking pre-med advanced level courses in physics, chemistry and biology. In 1989, Dr. Mosuro completed medical school at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. Dr. Mosuro notes he was drawn to the field of pain management and anesthesiology as a way to help his patients live meaningful, pain free lives no matter their medical diagnosis. Before coming to NSPC, he worked as a pain management anesthesiologist at Metro Spine/Bellaire Chiropractic in Texas. His previous work history includes as a pain management anesthesiologist at Outreach Diagnostic Clinic in Houston and in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in Rockville, MD. He has also served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. The patient, he believes, is always the most important person on the treatment team especially when they are active in decision making and participating in prescribed treatment modalities.
