Dr. Gillum earned his B.S. and M.D. degrees at Tufts University in Boston. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at The University of Iowa. After serving as a Major in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Ehrling Bergquist USAF Hospital in Omaha, he completed a one-year fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at the University of Iowa. Dr. Gillum has published several articles in medical journals and has developed several surgical instruments. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
