Dr. Spiegel sees patients of all ages at the Blue Bell, Jenkintown and Doylestown locations. William Spiegel, M.D. is a Senior Physician and Director with Allergy & Asthma Specialists, P.C., a group practice with eight locations in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs. He is the Director of The Aspirin Allergy Treatment Center. He has practiced as a Board Certified Allergist/Immunologist since 1988. Dr. Spiegel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and his Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine. His medical training continued at the University of Maryland Hospital where he was a Resident in Pediatrics. He was an officer in the United States Air Force for four years, attaining the rank of Major. He then became a Fellow in the Division of Adult and Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Spiegel trained in the aspirin desensitization program at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation of LaJolla, Califormia. He is an attending physician in the Pulmonary and Allergy Department at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Dr. Spiegel is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a member of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association and the Philadelphia Allergy Society. Dr. Spiegel is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. He has been involved in over 100 clinical research studies for numerous international pharmaceutical companies conducting many double blinded, placebo controlled trials. He has co-authored over 20 articles that have appeared in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He has presented at least 15 papers and has conducted numerous professional and community-based lectures.
