Dr. William Pearce is a native of Seattle. He received a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Washington where he also earned varsity letters in and coached intercollegiate crew. He continued graduate study at the UW to include a MSPH and a PhD in immunochemistry. His dissertation included the first development of a vaccine for Neisseria gonnorrhoeae. In 1984 he graduated as valedictorian from George Washington University School of Medicine and entered the Army. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center where he remained as Chief Medical Resident and staff until 1989. Dr. Pearce completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, afterwards returning to Madigan for two years as a staff gastroenterologist. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UW. Dr. Pearce has extensive experience in all forms of therapeutic endoscopy. He joined Southlake Clinic in 1993. Dr. Pearce and his wife enjoy spending time with their grandson, gardening, and golfing. He has been listed in "America's Best Doctors," and "Seattle's Best Doctors."
