Wen Hui Tan, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Minimally Invasive and Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She grew up in Henderson, NV, received her BS at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and received her MD at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. Dr. Tan completed her General Surgery training at Washington University in St. Louis / Barnes Jewish Hospital. She then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her clinical expertise includes the surgical treatment of hernias, reflux disease, and obesity.I believe in shared decision-making: focusing on patients, not just symptoms, and coming up with plans of care that make sense for them, together as a team. I treat my patients with the same compassion and integrity as I would want demonstrated in the care of a family member.
