Dr. Carlon grew up in Kerkhoven, Minnesota and graduated from Augsburg College in 1969. He attended medical school at the University of South Dakota and the University of Minnesota. He completed his Family Practice residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in 1976. After working for 7 months in Hilo, Hawaii he came to Stillwater and joined the Stillwater Clinic and has been a family physician for 36 years. Dr. Carlson and his wife have 4 children and 3 grandchildren and love spending time with them. He enjoys a cabin on Pipe Lake in Wisconsin and finds time for golf, skiing and other sporting activities. He is a member of 2 reading groups and a church council and his wife's horse and carriage society.
