Brief Intro

Dr. Todd Cochran opened the doors of Mulberry Street Family Dentistry in 1998 after completing dental school at the University of Louisville.  Before providing quality comfortable dental care to the people of Kentucky’s Heartland, Dr. Cochran served his country in the United States Army.  A graduate of the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point, Dr. Cochran spent 10 years on active duty before pursuing his career in dentistry.   Originally from Bleakwood, Texas, the Army brought Dr. Cochran and his family to Elizabethtown.  And soon after their arrival, he and his family realized that this wonderful community is where they wanted to settle permanently.  Dr. Cochran will tell you that he enjoys caring for patients of all ages, especially children.  And what he finds most rewarding about his general dentistry practice is being a part of people’s lives.  That’s because building and keeping your smile takes a lifetime of care.  It’s more than oral exams, x-rays and cleaning; it’s a total team effort where he helps you learn everything you need to know about proper oral health, and take the steps necessary to ensure that your smile, and those of your family, stand the test of time. As an active member of the Louisville Dental Society, Dr. Cochran participates in Smile Kentucky, providing free care for underprivileged children in several counties.  He also regularly helps to staff the local free clinic here in Elizabethtown for those without dental insurance and access to regular dental care.    As you can see Dr. Cochran goes the extra mile for his patients and his community.  Simply put, he is not your average dentist.  And that was apparent even while he was a dental student at the University of Louisville where he was selected for induction into the Phi Delta Prosthodontics Honors Fraternity, recognizing students who excelled in restoring oral function with crowns, bridges and other restorative procedures.  Additionally, upon graduation Dr. Cochran received the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics Award. Since graduating, Dr. Cochran continues to seek out the latest dental training because he believes in continuing his education and more than just the minimum state requirements.  He knows that his education doesn’t end with a degree in dentistry.  It is a lifelong process to stay up with current practices and advances in dental care like the use of lasers where common procedures can be performed with less anesthesia and greater comfort.   In fact, Dr. Cochran was the first dentist in Hardin County to offer this new laser technology.  So for a smile that lasts a lifetime, come visit Dr. Todd Cochran and his friendly professional staff where you’ll receive the gentle compassionate care you would expect from a family friend.
