In addition to his role at Sheltering Arms, Dr. Silver also serves as Director of Sports Medicine, and Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, for St. Francis Medical Center. He is a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors for the Association of Ringside Physicians. He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Silver volunteers as a team physician for local high schools and has been the team physician for the USA Kickboxing team, and has held the position of Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board for the World Kickboxing Association. Dr. Silver has served as an athletic care physician at the Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Athens (2004)and then Torino, Italy to serve as a physician for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. Dr. Silver also served as a Team Physician for the Richmond Renegades, a professional hockey team in Richmond Virginia as well as for Professional Arena Football.
