Dr. Thomas G. Johnson M.D, received his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972. Upon completing his M.D. degree, Dr. Johnson completed his internship at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in 1973 when he came to Garrett County and formed the Garrett Medical Group. He has been board certified in Family Practice since 1976. Dr. Johnson has certification in EKG interpretation through the American College of Cardiology. Dr, Johnson has been on the medical staff of Garrett County Memorial Hospital and has participated in multiple leadership positions. Since 1973 he has been both the continuous director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit and an active member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Johnson is a designated Class I Air Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration.
