Dr. Cowan holds a BS in Pharmacy (1977), an MS in Social and Preventative Medicine (1981) and an MD (1985) from the State University of New York, Buffalo, NY. His internal medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation residencies were done at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
The focus of Dr. Cowan’s practice is Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Cowan currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo and is on the staff of Kaleida Health and the Erie County Medical Center. He also serves on the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Electrodiagnotic Medicine.
