Dr. Thomas LaLonde was born and raised on the East Side of Detroit and proud to be associated with St. John Hospital and Medical Center since 1983. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed post graduate specialty training at St. John Hospital and Medical Center where he currently serves as Division Chief of Cardiology. His past titles include President of the Medical Staff, Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab, and Director of the Interventional Fellowship Program. He served three terms on the Hospital Board and is currently on his 3rd term on the Foundation Board. He is a practicing partner at EASTLAKE CV Associates where he specializes in the entire spectrum of clinical cardiology with special interest in Coronary Angioplasty and intervention. He is an expert at the new "Radial" approach to heart catheterization. He prides himself on listening to patients and spends a considerable amount of time on primary and secondary prevention of heart disease. As an Associate Clinical Professor on Medicine at Wayne State University he remains very active in the training of young physicians and is at the forefront of new technology and research. He has been recognized as a "Top Doc" in every issue of the Hour Magazines annual survey. He is a "sport buff" and remains an avid golfer. He loves traveling with his wife and 3 adult children.
