Dr. Karplus is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University and holds a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She also completed a Rheumatology fellowship at University of Iowa Hospital Clinics, Iowa City. Dr. Karplus has been with The Vancouver Clinic since 2000. She has worked with Providence Health Systems in Seattle, Doctors Without Borders in Paris, France, and at the Thai-Burmese Border, where she practiced general medicine and public health for Burmese refugees.
