Theo W. Hodge Jr., MD is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and in addition is certified as an HIV Specialist with the AAHIVM. Currently serving as Medical Director at the Washington Health Institute, he is also the Principal Investigator/Sub Investigator for multiple HIV-related clinical trials. The Washington Health Institute (WHI) was founded with the mission to improve the health of our community by providing exceptional Primary and Infectious Diseases Specialty care services. Dr. Hodge and his team approach the unique needs of each patient by providing holistic care support and patient education while participating in innovative research that advances the quality of life for our patients.Dedicated to partnering with patients to enhance and maintain their quality of life as it relates to their medical health, Dr. Hodge is especially interested in the study and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. He is very active in the community promoting sexual health and an outspoken proponent of HIV prevention. Dr. Theo Hodge views his role is to educate patients about the options they have to address their medical concerns and views patients’ role is to actively participate in their healthcare.
