Brief Intro

Dr. Crutchley joined Alamo City Cardiovascular Surgeons in 2012, after having practiced vascular surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and at San Antonio Military Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston as a Major in the USAF MC. She was deployed twice to Iraq in 2004 and 2009 and to Afghanistan in 2011. Specializing in both open and endovascular (minimally-invasive) procedures, Dr. Crutchley says this specialty gives her the best of both worlds, in the operating room and interacting with her patients long-term. "For me, its all about taking care of people. I chose surgery because it frequently makes a big difference in patients lives. In addition, I enjoy developing relationships with my patients over time, which is fairly unique to vascular surgery because we typically follow our patients for their lifetime." Dr. Crutchley graduated with honors from University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She completed her medical degree from University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada. Dr. Crutchley completed both her internship and residency in General Surgery at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Crutchley's professional affiliations include the Society for Vascular Surgery, Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, American College of Surgeons, Texas Society for Vascular Surgery, and the American Medical Association. She is board certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
