Dr. Allen earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Texas Tech University and his M.D. degree from Baylor Medical School. He completed his residency in general surgery in Houston rotating at Methodist, Ben Taub, Saint Luke’s, M.D. Anderson, Houston V.A. and Texas Children’s. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Allen served in the military as a Captain in the United States Air Force at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. He and his wife Doris have two grown children. Dr. Allen enjoys the mountains of New Mexico, wood and metal crafts, computers and music.
