Dr. Suneetha Budampati brings years of experience in interventional pain medicine to National Spine & Pain Centers. Prior to her arrival, she practiced in suburban Maryland after completing advanced fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Budampati was introduced to medicine by her physician parents. Throughout her childhood, she observed their experiences dealing with the challenges and rewards of their work. This ultimately influenced her decision to become a doctor.Dr. Budampati’s decision to specialize in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for residency training was fostered by an unwavering desire to help improve people’s functional health and quality of life. Subsequently, during her fellowship training, she advanced her skills in Interventional Pain Management and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Her expertise includes fluoroscopic-guided spinal injections, percutaneous intradiscal therapies, neurostimulation, radiofrequency neurotomy and percutaneous vertebroplasty.Dr. Budampati is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. She maintains active memberships in the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.An advocate for strong doctor-patient relationships, Dr. Budampati consistently tries to achieve successful results by dialoguing openly with patients to fully appreciate their expectations and to keep them informed and actively engaged in establishing their treatment and rehabilitation program.During her leisure time, Dr. Budampati enjoys singing Southern Indian Classical music and can also be found riding the scenic parkways in Virginia on her motorcycle, a hobby she shares with her husband. She is an avid certified scuba diver and bicycle rider. She is enjoying pursuing these interests along with her children as they get older. Multilingual, Dr. Budampati is fluent in Telugu, Hindi, and Urdu.
