Brief Intro

Growing up, Dr. Talukdar never wanted to become a physicianâ€”he wanted to be a mechanical engineer. But after discovering the rest of his high school classmates were planning to attend medical school, Dr. Talukdar changed his mind. And from the very beginning he knew it was the right call. Dr. Talukdar is a board-certified cardiologist and has been practicing at Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio since early 2012. Dr. Talukdar graduated from NRS Medical College in Calcutta, India, and completed his training in medicine and cardiology at Calcutta University Hospitals. He came to the United States in 1986 to pursue a Master of Science degree in experimental pathology at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. After completing his residency training at Worcester City Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, he completed additional training in Pittsburgh and worked as an Internist in Charleston, West Virginia, and Bensalem, Pennsylvania. In 2001, he began his fellowship in cardiology at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Talukdar practiced cardiology at Palestine Regional Medical Center in Palestine, Texas, before joining Cardiovascular Associates of San Antonio in 2005. Dr. Talukdar is a fellow of the American College of Cardiologists and is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.
