I was born in south Jersey and grew up outside Philly. I was inspired to become a physician by my small town family practitioner. He was a good physician and well respected in the community. I went to college in New York City, then to medical school at Rutgers in New Brunswick. I completed my family medicine residency in Brooklyn and then worked for the Indian Health Service in Crow Agency, Montana for two years. Then I moved to Seattle to work for Kaiser Permanente. I am married to another physician and have two grown children. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering for the Kirkland Library.
