I come from a medical background. My father was an ophthalmologist as well. A valuable lesson I learned from him was the importance of sight to his patients and how a caring ophthalmologist can make a tremendous difference in someone's life. After completion of my residency, I stayed on the faculty at Loma Linda University for four years. Then I came to Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, where I have worked since 1998. I have found this to be an excellent environment in which to give high-quality eye care to my patients.
