Stephen T. Kirk, M.D., grew up in Murray, Utah and graduated from Murray High School. He received an undergraduate degree in exercise and sports science from the University of Utah. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. After medical school, Dr. Kirk returned to Utah where he completed a family medicine residency at Utah Valley Family Medicine followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Utah Valley Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Provo.
During residency and fellowship, Dr. Kirk served as a team physician for multiple high schools and at the collegiate level including Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. He provided medical coverage for numerous sporting events including the St. George IronMan and the Utah Valley Marathon. He was also active in research of emergency preparedness for sudden cardiac arrest in Utah high schools.
Dr. Kirk enjoys taking care of the full spectrum of sports medicine. Areas of special interest include:

Dr. Kirk is an active athlete, once a football and rugby player, he has now turned to running. He also enjoys golfing and playing basketball.
