Dr. Stephen H. Marcus is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 35 years of practice experience, currently providing complete surgical care alongside Dr. Freeman and Dr. Farber at South Island Orthopaedic Group, P.C. He specializes in pediatric orthopaedics, total joint replacement and knee arthroscopy.
In addition to his practice care, Dr. Marcus holds appointments at South Nassau Communities Hospital and Peninsula Hospital Center, where he previously served as Chief of the Orthopaedic Department. He is also an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Marcus graduated with his medical degree from New York Medical College of Cornell University, and completed his internship at Stanford University. Choosing Orthopaedic Surgery as his area of focus, Dr. Marcus then completed specialized residency training at Albert Einstein Medical Center. After his residency, Dr. Marcus served as a Major in the US Air Force before entering private practice.
