Shekar P. Kumar, M.D., practices cardiology and vascular interventions at Advanced Cardiology Associates, a physician practice of Self Regional Healthcare. Dr. Kumar received his medical degree from Stanley Medical College in Madras, India. He completed his residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and a fellowship in vascular and interventional cardiology at East Carolina University. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology; and he is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, reading and sports.
