Scott E. Knutson, MD, joins Trinity Medical Group as a member of its Emergency/Trauma team. A graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, he practiced at Minot Air Force Base from 1998 to 2002, serving as Chief of Medical Staff, flight surgeon and Officer in Charge of the Flight Medicine Clinic. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the UND's Center for Family Medicine - Minot, where he received both the William J. Buckingham NDAFP and the Minot Community Preceptors Family Medicine Resident of the Year award in 2004. He joined the clinic last year as a faculty physician and associate director. He also coordinated the Minne-ToHe IHS Prenatal Clinic in New Town. Dr. Knutson is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
