As a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry), I have a special interest in treating patients who are suffering from stroke, spinal cord injury and brain injury. The majority of my time is spent caring for patients in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit of the hospital. I went into medicine because I enjoyed science and interacting with people. I chose the field of physiatry because I liked neurology but wanted to care for the whole person. Physiatry was an interesting mix of both. I am board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Outside of medicine, I am married and the mother of four children. For recreation I enjoy bicycling, downhill skiing, and gardening.
