Dr. Quiros joined the multidisciplinary cancer care team at St. Luke’s in 2007.
“As a surgeon specializing in cancer, I have dedicated my career to treating patients with a variety of different conditions, including gastrointestinal, endocrine, skin (including melanoma), and breast cancers. I completed my surgical oncology fellowship at the Fox Chase Cancer Center and had the privilege of training under recognized leaders in the field. Today, I treat cancer with “tried and true” surgical techniques while exploring the use of new technologies that show promise in cancer care. While surgically removing a cancer is often the mainstay of treatment for many patients, I understand and appreciate that the care of a patient with cancer is complex and often involves chemotherapy and radiation in addition to surgery. At St. Luke’s, I work closely with colleagues who are experts in these fields to help tailor a treatment plan for each individual patient. I firmly believe that the best way to treat patients is with a team approach.”
Dr. Quiros has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and medical books, and has presented research in the United States and Europe. He is involved in surgical resident and medical student education, and is an associate clinical professor of surgery at the Temple University Medical School St. Luke’s Campus.
