Dr. Tarrago was born in Mexico City, Mexico and moved to California when he was six years old. He graduated from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo University with a degree in biochemistry. He completed medical school and pediatric residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and then completed his pediatric critical care fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr, Tarrago is married to Dr. Sonja Tarrago, a general pediatrician. They live in Woodbury with their two sons, Braden and Ian. Dr. Tarrago enjoys road biking and gourmet cooking.
