In addition to his clinical appointments, Dr. Baker maintains memberships in several professional societies, including: Fellow, American College of Gastroenterology American Gastroenterological Association American College of Physicians American College of Bariatric Physicians Dr. Baker has over 25 years of experience as an internist and gastroenterologist. He is an expert in colonoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, having performed thousands of procedures with a superior safety record. He performs these procedures in the office with an anesthesiologist assisting to assure a safe and completely comfortable examination for the patient. In the field of digestive diseases, Dr. Baker is particularly interested in irritable bowel syndrome, gastro-esophageal reflux (GERD), and colon cancer prevention. Dr. Baker is married and has 7 children. He lives in Manhasset with his wife Lee and whichever of the kids are still young enough to live at home. In his â€œother life,â€ Dr. Baker is an accomplished magician and ventriloquist. He performs regularly in comedy clubs on Long Island and in New York City.
