Dr. Garrison was born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. He performed his urology residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY, where he also served as chief resident. He is certified by the American Board of Urology, and is a member of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the North Carolina and Carteret County medical societies.
Dr. Garrison has practiced general urology in Carteret County since 1981, when he joined Carteret Surgical Associates. Urology involves the surgical and medical management of the urinary tract and male genital system, including kidney, bladder, prostate, penile and testicular surgery, incontinence surgery, kidney stone surgery, vasectomy, the medical management of prostate and bladder disease and cancer, urinary tract infection, sexual dysfunction, and prevention of kidney stones.
Dr. Garrison maintains a close working relationship with members of the local medical community, other urologists in Eastern North Carolina, and when necessary, urologic specialists in nearby medical centers.
He lives in Beaufort with his wife Sandra, and has two children and two stepchildren. He practices at Carteret Surgical Associates and performs surgery or operates at Carteret Surgery Center and Carteret General Hospital
