Dr. Beauchene received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, ON, in 1978. He remained there to earn his M.D. in 1982, and completed a rotating internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, ON, the following year. Dr. Beauchene completed two residencies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario: one in neuropathology in 1984, and a second in ophthalmology in 1987. Dr. Beauchene is a certified ophthalmologist in both Canada and the U.S., and practiced in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario until 1998 and in Arizona from 1998 to 2002, when he joined the clinic.
