Meet Dr. Robert G. Anderson
The Medical Director of Fort Worth Plastic Surgery & MedSpa in Fort Worth. Dr. Anderson is board certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology (head and neck) surgery. He currently limits his practice to plastic surgery with an emphasis on cosmetic plastic surgery, melanomas, and reconstruction after cancer.
As a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Anderson maintains a firm commitment to patient education and the advancement of plastic surgery. He spent over five years as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and has been a member of the editorial board of the Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery since 1987. He is the author of monographs on Melanomas and Facial Nerve Surgery and has written numerous scientific articles and book chapters.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, Dr. Anderson completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. After finishing his residency in otolaryngology (head and neck) surgery and a fellowship in otology, neurology, and skull-base surgery, he finalized his training by completing a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Anderson spent six months volunteering as a medical missionary in the Fiji Islands. He worked to train the local surgeons and taught at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji. More recently, he has participated in medical missions to Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras working with surgical groups and cleft lip/palate teams.
