Robert C. Jones, MD is a California native, originally from California's central coast. He has remained in California all his life, including attending college and doing his graduate training. Dr. Jones got his BS in Biological Science and his Medical degree at the University of California at Irvine. He trained at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center, where he did his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine. After completing his training, Dr. Jones practiced medicine for two years in central California before moving back to southern California to join Chaparral Medical Group in 1987. He is quadrupled Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Disorder Medicine. Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorder Medicine are the primary focus of his practice. Dr. Jones is a distinguished physician in the Pomona community and has held numerous distinguished positions at various hospitals in the area including: * Chief of Medicine, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center * Chairman, Medical Quality Management, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center * Chairman, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Casa Colina Hospital * Chief of Medical Staff, Casa Colina Hospital * Medical Director, Casa Colina Hospital Apart from the above responsibilities, Dr. Jones has been a Co-Medical Director of Chaparral Medical Group and is currently an active member of the Critical Care Committee, Sleep Disorders Panel and Medical Ethics Committee at Pomona Valley Hospital. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences and Faculty Member for Internal Medicine and Critical Care for the Family Practice Residency Program at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Jones is married, with two daughters. He enjoys collecting 'Rexall' Medical Antiques and doing woodwork.
